DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT

The premise of I See Dead People came from my love of ghost stories with twists and turns.

Influenced by many movies from the 80s for their atmospheric themes, especially the films of David Cronenberg, Michael Mann and John Carpenter. Carpenter’s The Thing (1982) was a major influence. I remember watching it, not really knowing what to expect as the protagonists battle themselves, while also battling a terrifying unknown monster. Not knowing who the true enemy was, its twists and turns had me at the end of my seat.

I would gravitate towards Psychological Thrillers, which became my favorite type of movies, second to Sci-fi. Overall, my mission for this project was to create an engaging story that would keep the audience questioning until the very end.
